Dr Sketchies
Need to Keep an eye on this. Dr Sketchies is hosted all over the world, I remember them doing dates in Huddersfield a couple of years ago but now they seem to be based in Leeds. A combination of both Burlesque and Life drawing. Looks both Hot and Awesome.
Guardian Culture
I came across an interesting article in the Guardian On Line. It offers insider and expert tips on staying ahead and finding the best quality art and culture out there. I hope they repeat and update this article every year.

Instructibles
My friend Kat just showed me a really great site called Instrucktibles. Basically people posting tutorials on how they built their funky costumes and props. In fact just about anything from Food, lifestyle to custom fixtures and fixings. Fantastic, check it out. Here is a photo of a statue someone made of their Queen Alien. How awesome is that? It was created by a gent who goes by the name of Alex the Movie Geek. He is listed as a Pro Instrucktable on the site, its easy to see why looking at all of his work.

Olly Moss
Ok I just came across the work of a brilliant dessigner and thinker who produces work in a style similer to that of Saul Bass. In perticular I like Ollys Fillms in Black & Red posters, so classy.
Bellow is my favorite poster in the line (kind of, they are all amazing) I like how manny of them can only be understood if you have actualy seen the films and are often related to pinical moments or aspects of the films. Check out his work.

Today I went back to the Puppet making workshop to finish the armature for my character, I spent more time wrapping the wire framework in tinfoil and then began applying Plasticine.
I managed to get a little further than the image on the right implies :P
Left: Wire Armature with Poly clay Limbs and head. Left: Wire armature covered in layers of tinfoil, and half covered in thin layer of plasticine.

Oh also, on the way out of the gallery today I was able to snap these, I believe they were mad by a girl working at the gallery called
Olivia. Think they look kind of awesome and would like to give it a shot at making some of my own (everything in my home should have a touch of art and craft).
