DVNO

Hey, another excellent Justice Video that I would like to keep fresh in my mined.
It was created by Machine Molle.

Justice

Hey, more of a reminder to myself to remember how fun the videos and the music are.

Festive Microwaves

One of my lecturers gave me a link to this on face book, I think it is absolutely wonderful. It is the theme "jingle bells" played with the "ding's" of microwaves.

Home Made Alien Helmet

For Halloween this year I went out dressed as the creature from "Alien". Here is my blog detailing the stages of its construction. I am still working on building the rest of the costume to the same standard but once completed I hope to develop a tutorial website explaining how YOU can make it at home. I hope you like it, even the helmet isn't quite finished yet.

"How Manga Took Over the World"

Hey, just a little info on an exhibition that ended in October. It was held in the Urbis gallery in Manchester. It was right up my street and I thought It was about time that I shared some of the things I liked at the exhibition, entitled "How Manga Took Over the World", they have some really nice photos of their own at the bottom of the page.

Here is the poster image used to promote the event. And some of my snaps.... This first one as you can see is of a "sweet" customized Darth Vader helmet. I must apologize for the reflections on the glass case. It is down to my poor photography skills alone. I hope the second image does the helmet justice.
These were a sweet bunch of characters and puppets displayed in the same room within the exhibition. I believe that they represented more contemporary sub divisions of the genre. This first print was called "Catboi", even though I thought it was a Vixen. I must say I love the effect of the image being printed on sheets of corrugated plastic, it is something that I have to try out It provided an interesting finish (many prints in the exhibition were on this type of board) and could provide an interesting alternative to regular mount board.I have no record of the second pieces title, so I will go with "Hairboi". The same goes for the Image after it which I have titled as "Puppet", they both seem to be DIY manikins much like an Artist model/urganome, which I am intrigued by.Another board with a monstrous Trio on it, again I am oblivious to the pieces name or that of the artist. The same goes for the board after it featuring a "harajuku girl" or pop culture teen of sorts.EVE3000, the work of Ivy Ling, an artist developing storyboard based music videos along with a fully developed animation was on show. She created them in collaboration with her friend and muscisian Anna Mercedes. The MySpace page is visualy appealing and has lots of work on show.Again I apologize for reflections on the image (if you look closely though, you can see "Hairboi" in the reflection). These last two images were the only famous characters that I decided to photograph, their were tones of posters, boards and prints of famous Anime & Manga characters within the exhibition but these reworkings of classic images were the ones that appealed to me.On reflection I know that I need to document my visits to art galleries more carefully. I need to go to greater effort to record the details of artists in order to keep track of their future work.

Origami

Hey Found a rally cool page for Origami. Things that I did not know could be done by folding paper. Here is an example of just how good some of these sculptures are.

Kenpachi Fried Chicken

Whilst looking through a folder for the "Munny" in my last post I came across some images I liked.
I really enjoyed this one. Here is the artists page.
Oh and here is another Vector image that I enjoyed (used to use this as my Messenger avatar).

New Shoes

A note to myself. The affect seen on this "Munny" interests me, expect it to feel like silicone gel sealant (maybe that's what the artist used). Either way I must contact the artist and try to find out what technique he used.
The reason I want to do this is because I want to add a similar affect to my trainers to make them look sort of like a chock chip, mint ice cream. Tasty!

Sita Hero

I came across this Poster. It was sent to Harmonix (creators of Guitar Heroes), by the creators of the Simpson's. The parody is taken from "The Simpson's Game" and made me smile.
